Editor’s Note: Seeking Art and Seeking to Meet Artists
I mentioned last week that I have an ongoing Group Exhibition Interest Form available for artists to sign up to be considered for opportunities. I’m currently seeking works for a show about emerging artists that’s rapidly approaching. If you know someone who is new to the field, please pass along this post today. I’m also arranging another drinks meetup for Millenial/Gen Z artists in Providence January 22. More details on that soon. Building community is a responsibility that falls on all of us. If you have ideas for how to create connections, act on them. We all could use more of that. - Michael Rose
The Art of Neon with Nick McKnight
For my Inside Art column on GoLocalProv.com this week I wrote about Providence-based artist Nick McKnight who crafts art with neon. He also has a thriving practice making commercial signage. Through Jan. 13, his work is on view in the Storefront Gallery at Dirt Palace in Providence. Learn more about him in my latest story and consider passing it along to your friends.
