The Steel Yard’s Winter Residents Show, Grit and Polish, continues through Feb. 9 at the WaterFire Arts Center in Providence. It’s a remarkable exhibition full of inventive works that span media, from metal and ceramic to fiber and installation. I was honored to be a Critic for the group recently and some of my favorite pieces on view are by RISD alum Anne P. Irving who shows off a poetic narrative sensibility and a keen sense for craft. See all the work at 475 Valley Street in Providence.
