Happy Friday!
It is going to be a very warm couple of days, in case you haven’t already heard. Local municipalities throughout the region are offering some valuable safety resources including access to public cooling centers. Boston is offering free admission to select museums today including the Institute of Contemporary Art. I hope that you find some ways to relax and stay cool during this heat wave. Have a nice weekend and be safe out there friends! - Michael

Special: Interior Design at Murmur HiFi Lounge in Providence

Murmur HiFi Lounge in Providence recently opened and the space is a celebration of midcentury modern design. Sleek and well-appointed, it boasts a soundtrack of curated vinyl as well as thoughtful decor. I stopped in on one of their first nights with some artist friends and had a lovely time at this new third space. Congrats to the team that made this venue a reality. It’s a testament to how valuable engaging design can be in everyday life.

Opening of the Week: American, Unfinished?! at WaterFire Arts Center
Last night, WaterFire Arts Center opened a large group show titled America, Unfinished?! There were many friends and peers to be found at the opening reception, making it feel like a reunion. The show continues through August 30. On August 6, I’ll be co-hosting a Drinks with Artists at the venue with my friend Kannetha Brown. More details on that soon. In the meantime, stay cool!
