Featured: RISD Museum Opening Celebration April 2
The RISD Museum invites guests to visit on Thursday, April 2 from 5:30-7:30pm for the free opening celebration of Natchiq | Onkeehq | Isuwiq: Indigenous Artists Honor the Seal, a powerful exhibition exploring the deep cultural connections between Indigenous communities and seals. Featuring historic and contemporary works by Alaska Native and Inuit artists, the exhibition honors relationships across generations, homelands, and waters.
Article of the Week: An Impressive Ceramics Exhibition
This week for New England Art News, I wrote an article about A Shared Journey: The Barkan Contemporary Ceramic Collection, on view now at RISD Museum. The show is incredibly impressive and will substantially grow the museum’s clay holdings. Half of this show will close on April 5, but the Ceramics Gallery will feature highlights through 2028. Don’t miss it!
